What a week. Sometimes I write these blogs thinking that no one reads them. No one probably does, however, when asked "why do you blog?" I always say that I would like something other than my Facebook to be left behind.

I'm not going to add everyone that I meet to my Facebook and plenty of people don't even use Facebook anymore. I'm also kinda hoping that something far more superior will replace it in the future. So in conclusion, I blog, get over it.

Since my last blog, I've done a Basic Rail exam and I've also been studying practical route learning. I have passed both. Yay!

I would really like to go into more detail, but it's It's very complicated for someone to read if they have never studied railway terminology before. I'm also being very lazy, besides, the studying had made me gain 5lbs, so I'm not particularly happy about that. Driving trains requires good slow releasing food like Bananas, not McDonalds!!

Plus, my confidence was seriously knocked on it's head a couple of days ago when I passed a cautionary signal and I forgot to cancel out a safety warning device called 'AWS'. The result was an emergency brake application by the trains computer and what sounded like three different sirens going off at once. That alone wasn't what knocked my confidence, it was that It made me panic and didn't know what to do. My brain just shut down. Luckily, it was a simulation and not real life, therefore I got to practise the situation again today and I think I'm alright now. It's the first time since I started the course that I have doubted myself, but sometimes our brains go into melt down. Don't worry potential passengers, I'll be put through worse and I'll be expected to deal with it before I'm out there driving trains on my own.

Looking pretty fried here. This was the day that my brain fell out. Thanks for your glasses Carlo, they totally suit me better.

If anyone reading this has any questions, please comment below and I'll answer you in my next post.

That's all folks.

Steve.
